The Slurry Erosive Wear Tester has been designed to determine erosive properties of materials. Samples of Slurry Erosion Tester have been prepared in the size of 75x25x4 to 6 mm & all the samples were cleaned and weighed before insertion in to the Rig. Slurry contains water and sand particle. Samples are fixed with six rotating spindles and six stainless steel pots, all six posts are submerged within a water cooled re -circulating system to maintain the slurry temperature. The test can be carried out with a known RPM. Finally, specific weight loss is determined.
The Slurry Erosive Wear Tester is used to test the erosive resistance of solid materials to slurry composites, various materials can be tested such as polymers, plastics, hard materials, metallic components etc.
The Slurry Erosive Wear Tester complies with the requirements of ISO 15527 with the results being expressed as mass loss, volume loss or the degree of abrasion referenced to a standard material.
